    **Training Alert** Brandon area, we're coming to visit you! Made Safe is excited to bring two in-person training sessions to Brandon! We will be delivering our two most in-demand courses: April 16, 2024: Workplace Safety and Health Committee and Worker Safety and Health Representative April 17, 2024: Supervisor Safety and Health Roles and Responsibilities These in-person sessions will be at Safe Work MB’s Brandon training facility: Renaissance Station, Building Unit 1, 457 - 9th Street Brandon. Each session will be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. To reserve seats and/or register specific participants: email Made Safe Training & Development Manager Don Oldcorn at don.oldcorn@madesafe.ca (Note: these sessions are not available on our Made Safe Training Portal.) There is no cost for these session for our Members, non-member pricing is $150 per session. Course Descriptions: Workplace Safety and Health Committee and Worker Safety and Health Representative Objective: To provide Workplace Safety and Health Committee members and Worker Safety and Health Representatives with an understanding of their roles, duties and responsibilities pertaining to workplace safety and health. This course outlines the legal requirements surrounding Workplace Safety and Health committees and worker safety and health representatives, as well as the process to address concerns and make recommendations on safety and health issues. Who should take this course: The training is intended for: workplace safety and health committee members and worker safety and health representatives. Supervisor Safety and Health Roles and Responsibilities The purpose of this course is to provide supervisors with an understanding of their legal duties and responsibilities pertaining to everyday safety and health functions. This training program will explain a supervisor's role in providing a safe and healthy workplace for workers. Who should take this course: The training is intended for persons who have: Charge of a workplace or Authority over a worker

    By law, an employer is required to notify the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Branch of a serious incident by the fastest means of communication available. Serious Incident Alerts include descriptions of the actual serious incidents reported to WSH Branch and are provided to raise awareness and initiate preventative actions as appropriate.
