The RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg is located downtown within walking distance of hotels, attractions, shopping and dining. Currently, the convention centre offers 160,000 sq. ft. of meeting and trade show space and will almost double in size for a total of 264,000 sq. ft. when the $180+ million expansion is complete in the first half of 2016. This premier convention facility is three levels of uniquely designed space which currently includes two floors of multi-purpose meeting and events space and a third floor exhibition hall. With the addition of the new south building, the current 78,000 sq. ft. third floor will grow by 57,500 sq. ft. to create 135,500 sq. ft. of contiguous pillarless space that will accommodate over 650 exhibitor booths. In the centre of the third floor will be the incredible new City Room that will stitch the north and south buildings together with floor-to-ceiling windows and a beautiful view! Imagine 46,000 sq. ft. of space situated high above York Avenue, capable of accommodating 2600 guests for dinner or 216 trade show booths. The new south building main floor will feature additional 22,400 sq. ft. of pre-function/lobby space and a new 24,000 sq. ft. ballroom that is easily divisible into four meeting/conference rooms. Along with a new street-level plaza, additional underground parking and climate-controlled loading docks in the new facility, the RBC Convention Centre is creating new meeting and convention opportunities like never before.
