Mother Earth Recycling is a proudly owned and operated Indigenous Social Enterprise that provides a variety of recycling services in Manitoba. Using these services, we provide jobs and training opportunities to members of our community who face multiple barriers to employment. We are committed to becoming a self-sufficient business and a leader in the Indigenous business community and the environmental, and social sectors. REFURBISHMENT STORE We clean, fix and update old electronics to give them a second life back into the community. If you are looking for an affordable computer for home or your small business, this is the best deal in the city! ELECTRONIC WASTE Acting as an EPRA Certified Depot, we collect old electronics and divert them to the provincial recycling program to be safely deconstructed and recycled properly. There is no fee to recycle your electronics. DATA SECURITY AND COMPUTER REPAIRS We provide data security method to individuals and businesses to protect their data at the end of their electronics life. We also offer repair services for computers, laptops and other electronics. MATTRESS AND BOX SPRING RECYCLING Operating Manitoba’s only mattress and box spring recycling facility, we accept used mattresses for a small fee and deconstruct them. 95% of the materials in a mattress and box spring are recyclable! DROP OFF AND PICKUP SERVICES Drop offs can be made Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at 771 Main Street. No appointment is needed for small drop offs, large shipments should call ahead. Pickup service is available within the City of Winnipeg for homes and businesses for a small fee. EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAM We hire and train members of the local urban indigenous community who face multiple personal and systemic barriers to obtaining employment. Over the 6-month training program these individuals gain experience, confidence, skills and tools that they are able to take into the job market and grow their careers.
