Event Description: The Retail Sales Tax (RST), also known as Provincial Sales Tax (PST), is an 8% tax applied to the retail sale or rental of most goods and certain services in Manitoba. This session will provide you with an verview explaining the application of Retail Sales Tax for businesses operating in Manitoba. Whether your business is selling goods, providing services, or both, find out the registration requirements and how Retail Sales Tax applies to your business. NOTE: Please feel free to bring a snack or brown bag lunch to make the most of this session. Attendees will learn the following: 1. How retail sales tax applies to goods and services 2. Common errors and how they can be avoided 3. Registration requirements Gisele Kasdorf has been with the Manitoba Finance/Taxation Division for over 22 years. Most of her work experience within the Division has been in tax application as a Tax Information Officer, Research Officer and currently as the Tax Information Supervisor. This seminar is available for remote participants via webinar (i.e., from a computer, tablet or smartphone). Please choose “Online” at registration.
